Marianne and Preben – a couple from Norway has booked me to photograph their wedding in Chateauneuf de Grasse this August.
It was a nice change for me, as I’m usually covering weddings by the seaside. This time I could enjoy beautiful Provence with its olive trees and cicadas, so typical for this region and the summer. I was also particularly happy about the light, which obviously isn’t always the same, and sometimes it’s a question of luck, good weather, time and place.
Some couples decide to go with a wedding planner, this wasn’t the case for Marianne and Preben.
It was a very cameral wedding and everything was organised by the couple and their family.
Their choice was the Notre-Dame-du-Brusc chapel which is the remnant of a vast basilica, built in the XIth century.
After the ceremony, everyone had some champagne next to the chapel, and an aperitif followed by a dinner at Preben’s father’s villa.
The view over the hills was amazing and I truly enjoyed being there.
