As the wedding season slowly goes away, I have started to get other kind of photo inquiries, all equally pleasant. Even the sunny and always warm Côte d’Azur is now in a winter’s mood, although it’s only November. The shops started to take the Christmas decorations out early this year, reminding us that it’s only one month to Christmas left! That’s why Rita has decided to ask me for a photo shoot of her and her mom. Look how assorted their clothes are, even the colors are influenced by Christmas and match perfectly. I found some tips on that as well so if you are interested to read: click here.
I find it a great idea to think about photography as a gift that not only will please your relatives but it will serve as a family souvenir forever! It’s a fun thing to do which brings the family together. You can even use the photos to send them as Christmas cards afterwards! A Christmas family portrait photo shoot is very popular in America, unfortunately in France a bit less. I hope it will change soon and people will start to appreciate more the value of professional family photography. As Eudora Welty said, “a good snapshot stops a moment from running away”.
The photos were taken at the luxury Royal Riviera Hotel in Beaulieu sur mer. I have already had the pleasure to photograph several weddings there, check my previous posts if you would like to see some pictures of the hotel.
If you wish to have your Christmas portraits shot on location then please contact me ASAP to schedule your session. It will leave you some time to prepare the Christmas cards or any other gift you would like to offer to your family! Have a happy holiday season and I look forward working with you!
